New Nonprofit Offers Dance Lessons and Events for Dallas LGBTQ+ Community

DALLAS, TX (January 28, 2025) - Dallas Does Dance, a new Texas nonprofit organization, is thrilled to announce its official opening, offering a vibrant and inclusive space for the Dallas LGBTQ+ community and its allies to learn, grow, and connect through dance.

Recognizing the need for a safe and empowering environment where individuals can express themselves freely and find a sense of belonging, Dallas Does Dance is dedicated to fostering a community where everyone feels welcome and celebrated.

Dallas Does Dance offers a wide range of programs and services designed to meet the diverse needs of the community:

• Dance Lessons: Passionate and experienced instructors teach a variety of dance styles for all levels, with a focus on beginner and intermediate classes. Whether you're interested in Country Two-Step, Line Dancing, West Coast Swing, Ballroom, Latin, or other styles, Dallas Does Dance has something for everyone.
• Dance Events and Competitions: Exciting opportunities to showcase your skills, connect with other dancers, and celebrate the joy of movement. From social dances and workshops to friendly competitions and showcases, there's always something happening with Dallas Does Dance.
• Dance-Related Consulting Services: Guidance and support for individuals and organizations seeking to integrate dance into their programs or events. Dallas Does Dance can help you create customized dance experiences that promote inclusivity, creativity, and community building.

To build a friendly, inviting, and safe environment for the Dallas LGBTQ+ dance community and its allies. We aim to nurture the joy and community that dance brings by providing dance education, hosting charitable activities/events, and fostering an encouraging and fun space for new and seasoned dancers.

Upcoming Events:

• West Coast Swing Lessons: Join us every Saturday in February (1, 8, 15, 22) for West Coast Swing lessons that will progress from beginner to beginner+, starting at 1:00 PM at the Round-Up Saloon in Dallas.
• Line Dance Social: After our Saturday partner dance lesson we switch it up with a line dance lesson and then some social dancing before dinner time.
• Beginner Country Dance Lessons: Every Tuesday starting February 4 we'll be at the Round-Up Saloon teaching beginner two-step, country waltz, line dancing, and more, starting at 8:00 PM.
