Pride in Dallas 2026 Dance Competition

The annual Pride in Dallas Country Dance Competition, presented by Dallas Does Dance and sponsored by The Round-Up Saloon and Dance Hall, took place on Thursday, September 17, 2026.

This year’s competition expanded to three distinct divisions across partner and solo dancing: Two Step Novice, a scored couples division competing for cash prizes and buckles; Just Dance West Coast Swing Novice, an energetic, just-for-fun division open to couples and solo dancers; and a revamped "Pick 2" Line Dance contest where individual dancers selected and averaged their best two performances across three featured line dances.

Registration was $5 per dancer per division, with 100% of all registration fees donated directly to Pride in Dallas. The event raised $120, and with the 1:1 match from Dallas Does Dance, we are sending $240 total to the charity!

Thank you to everyone who competed, cheered from the sidelines, and volunteered to make this another vibrant, joyful celebration on the dance floor!

Pride in Dallas 2025 Dance Competition

The Pride in Dallas Country Dance Competition, presented by Dallas Does Dance and sponsored by The Round-Up Saloon and Dance Hall, occurred on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.

This event featured two exciting contests: Progressive Two Step and Line Dance. Our Couples Open Novice division is designed for beginner and novice dancers who will sign up and compete as a couple. If you prefer to go solo, enter the multi-phase Line Dance contest, where individuals compete through qualifier and final rounds.

Registration was $5 per individual dancer, per event. All net proceeds from the registration fees were donated to Pride in Dallas and we raised $110 with the event!

July 2025 Dance Competition & Fundraiser

A Big Texas Thank You - Our First Competition & Fundraiser Was A Huge Success!

Wow, Dallas! We are still buzzing from the incredible energy and support at our first-ever Dance Competition & Fundraiser! It was a joy to see so many new and familiar faces on the dance floor, all coming together to celebrate our amazing LGBTQ+ dance community and its allies. The talent was dazzling, the enthusiasm was contagious, and because of you, we were able to raise funds to continue our mission of providing a safe, friendly, and encouraging space for everyone to experience the joy of dance.

We believe in transparency and want to share the financial results of this fantastic event with our community. See the report for the detailed breakdown.

We ended our event with a net balance of $32! We know this doesn’t seem like much, but it’s a positive balance that will be poured right back into creating more joyful, safe, and accessible dance opportunities for the Dallas LGBTQ+ community.
