Novice Line Dance

A beginner or improver level line dance will be selected by Dallas Does Dance and announced at registration. Dancers sign up as individuals. Each dancer will dance the full length of the same song (see rules).

Division Rules

  • Dancers may sign up individually.
  • The song will be selected by Dallas Does Dance and announced when registration opens - every dancer will dance to the full length of the selected song.
  • The designated step sheet and video will be provided with the song during registration to ensure everyone is doing the same version.
  • [This rule has been removed as of July 15, 2025] The first 2 walls must be danced “plain vanilla” as prescribed in the provided step sheet - after the first 2 walls, the dancer may add their own styling and variation as long as it remains within the general flow of the dance.
